Not justcomplaints
Jondeu (from Kazakh «жөндеу» — repair) is a civic system that collects, structures and ranks city infrastructure problems and turns them into clear reports for those responsible.
Make everyday risks visible — and accountable
Cities are full of small, fixable problems that put people at risk every day: low railings, broken steps, missing handrails, ice under drainpipes, dark crossings. They rarely make the news, and they are rarely fixed quickly — not because nobody cares, but because nobody has a clear, verified picture of what needs fixing first.
Our goal is to create that picture. We document problems carefully, score them by the same transparent rules and deliver them to the right recipients in a format that is easy to act on. Then we keep the record public, so progress — or the lack of it — is visible to everyone.
Four parts of the system
Collect
Residents send 1–3 photos, a point on the map and a short description. No sign-up is needed, and photos are cleaned of location and camera data before upload.
Analyse
A moderator verifies each report and scores it on Danger, Impact and Exposure. AI may suggest a draft description and category, but a person always decides.
Report
Once a month, verified issues are compiled into reports grouped by recipient: the akimat, an institution or a building manager — with photos, scores and suggested fixes.
Track
Every issue has a public status — from Verified to Fixed. We record responses and follow up until the problem is resolved or clearly rejected.
Visible. Public. Fixable. Significant.
People decide
AI is an assistant. Category, score and status are always confirmed by a moderator.
Facts, not blame
We describe only what is visible. No accusations against specific people or organisations.
Privacy first
No faces, number plates or private addresses. Contacts of senders are never published.
Verified before public
Nothing appears on the site until a moderator has checked it.
How we protect people
We collect only what is needed to fix a problem. Photos are stripped of location and camera data, private property is shown only to the street, and contact details stay with the moderator. Please never put yourself at risk to take a photo — and in an emergency, call 112 first.
- Don't publish faces without consent
- Hide car number plates
- No private addresses — street or district only
- Don't trespass or step onto the road for a photo
- No accusations — only visible facts
